These are some random character sketches I did for tonight. I'll usually start with a thought or idea and create some simple designs, (each one took about 15 min.). The idea is to create them rapidly, focusing on iteration, story, and silhouette. once I've created about 20 to 50 decent options, I'll start to refine a few with good reference and alot of inspiration to help guide me. I've often found this process helpful in the long run. Next week, I'll post an update showing the next step in the process.
